It is different for everyone. What the law fixes are the twelve special lessons: five cross-country, four on the motorway, three at night. How many practice lessons come on top depends on how you progress. We give you honest feedback after every lesson so you know where you stand — and we do not sell you lessons you do not need.

The total is made up of the basic fee, your driving lessons, learning material, the TÜV test fees and the official costs for the licence application, the eyesight test and first aid. Every item is listed separately on our prices page. No hidden fees, and paying in instalments is possible.

It is not a disaster and it happens more often than people think. We look at what went wrong together, practise exactly those points and enter you again. On a retake the TÜV fee and our presentation fee are payable again, but there is no new basic fee. You can retake the theory test after two weeks, and the practical one after two weeks as well.

At the ordinary pace, reckon on two to four months from signing up to the practical test. It depends on how often you come to theory, how quickly you book driving lessons and how long the authority takes over your application — usually two to four weeks. With the intensive course it can be as little as two weeks.

Yes, at any time and without giving a reason. Our instructors are Ares and Yusuf. Each has his own style, and not every pairing works. If the chemistry is not there you simply switch — everything you have done so far carries over seamlessly.

That is exactly what we are set up for. Theory runs Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 18:30 to 20:00, and on Saturdays at 9:30 and 11:00 — you pick the classes that fit. Driving lessons are booked flexibly, including mornings and weekends. Most of our learners are working or at school.

Class B is the manual licence and the test is taken in a manual. B78 is the automatic-only licence, and it restricts you to an automatic. B197 means the test in an automatic plus ten lessons in a manual and an internal test drive — after which you may drive both. BF17 is accompanied driving from the age of 17. We will advise you on which one makes sense for you.

Yes, without any trouble. The theory and driving lessons you have already done are recognised in full, so you do not start again. The paperwork with your old school is ours to sort out. Instead of a full new registration you pay only the change fee — the amount is on the prices page.

Both. Our training cars are two VW Golfs, one manual and one automatic. If you are unsure, we suggest B197: you train and take the test in an automatic, which is more relaxed, but keep the full entitlement to drive a manual.

To start you need an eyesight test from an optician, a first-aid course of nine units, a biometric passport photo and valid ID. We will tell you where to get the eyesight test and first aid quickly and cheaply in Düsseldorf. For BF17 your supervisor needs to provide proof as well.

Yes, and what is involved depends on the issuing country. For EU and EEA licences the exchange is straightforward. For countries outside the EU you normally have to take a practical test, and depending on the country the theory test too. You will need a certified translation of your licence. We advise you individually and take you through the process.
