Intensive course
Your licence.
As fast as it goes.
The same licence and the same tests — only the training is compressed. You learn daily instead of weekly and finish in weeks instead of months. From around two weeks is realistic.
What is different from the usual route
- Theory
- Class every day — 14 topics in about 2–3 weeks
- Driving lessons
- Several a week, close together, rather than one
- Instructor
- Fixed — you drive with the same person throughout
- Straßenverkehrsamt
- Express application: processed in 2 days instead of 2–4 weeks
- Tests
- Identical to the ordinary Class B licence
- Classes
- Can be combined with B, B78, B197 and BF17

What you need to bring
- Time — you have to be available daily for theory and driving
- Minimum age 18, or 17 with BF17
- Eyesight test, first-aid course, biometric passport photo
- The same 12 compulsory special lessons as the usual route
- Motivation — an intensive course means flat out, not leisurely
Who it suits
School and university students using the holidays. People in work who can take two to three weeks off. And anyone new to Düsseldorf who needs to be mobile quickly for a job.
Common questions about the intensive course
How fast is it really?
From 2 weeks is possible, 2–4 weeks is realistic. It depends on how quickly the theory sticks and how many driving lessons you need. We do not promise a two-week miracle.
Can I do the intensive course alongside work?
The theory phase needs you there every day, so 1–2 weeks off is the sensible plan. The driving lessons afterwards we fit flexibly into evenings or the weekend.
How many driving lessons do I need?
Exactly as many as on the usual route: the 12 compulsory special lessons plus practice lessons according to your progress. What changes is the pace, not the amount.
What if I fail a test?
We book you in for a retake promptly. The advantage of the intensive course still holds: tight scheduling, quick dates, no waiting around.
Who is the intensive course wrong for?
If you do not have time every day it gets difficult. And if you feel very unsure behind the wheel, a slower pace is often better — we will tell you that honestly before you sign up.
