The theory classes set the pace: Mon, Wed, Thu 18:30–20:00 · Sat 9:30–11:00 and 11:00–12:30. Sit every one and you have the 14 compulsory topics together after 3 weeks at the earliest — the theory test cannot be taken before that.

How long it takes from there to the practical test hangs on two things: on your driving lessons and on a free test slot at the TÜV. Those are not the driving school's to hand out.

So we do not promise a two-week miracle. At the first consultation we work out for you what is possible in your particular window — counting backwards from the test date.

The theory yes, the driving hardly. The classes are timed so that they work alongside a job: Mon, Wed, Thu 18:30–20:00 · Sat 9:30–11:00 and 11:00–12:30.

The driving lessons are where it gets tight. The intensive course lives on driving almost daily, usually a double lesson in the morning and another in the afternoon. That cannot be pushed into the evening.

So plan one or two weeks off. Anyone who has to work in between loses not the odd appointment but the rhythm — and then the ordinary route is the better way.

Exactly as many as on the usual route: the twelve compulsory special drives plus practice lessons according to your progress.

The intensive course does not shorten the training, it compresses it. There is no special rule that waives lessons on a crash course — the difference lies in the pace, not in the amount.

What the tight pace really saves is the getting back into it. Driving daily means you do not have to spend the start of every lesson finding last week's feel again.

Then we book you in for a retake promptly. That does not mean the course has failed.

You can resit the theory test after two weeks, and the practical one after two weeks as well. The advantage of the intensive course holds throughout: tight scheduling, a short route to the next date, no idling between driving lessons.

Beforehand we look together at what went wrong and practise exactly those points. On a retake the TÜV fee and our presentation fee are payable again, but no new basic fee.

Then tell us at the first consultation what your next few weeks look like — the answer usually follows from that by itself.

Three questions decide it: do you have two to three weeks in one block? Do you feel broadly safe at the wheel? And does something hang on a fixed date that cannot be moved? Anyone without a solid block of time, or carrying a lot of uncertainty, gets there faster on the ordinary route.

We work it through with you before you sign. If the ordinary route suits you better, we say so before you sign up, not after.

No, it is identical. A separate intensive-course test does not exist.

The theory test has 30 questions and a limit of 10 error points here as well; the practical test lasts the same 55 minutes and is taken by the same TÜV examiners. No reduced number of questions, no shortened test drive.

What differs is only the road to it. The material sits fresher, because days rather than months lie between your last theory class and the test.

On the day you sign up. We fill the application in with you and hand it in at the Straßenverkehrsamt Düsseldorf.

On an intensive course that is the most important switch: without the authority's clearance you may not sit the theory test, however well prepared you are. The sooner the application is there, the sooner the window opens — how long the office takes is the office's call.

The eyesight test and the first-aid course should therefore be done before you sign up. Neither happens here: you take those at an eyesight test centre and a course provider.

We reschedule, but it gets tight: on an intensive course every day builds on the one before.

Two missed days therefore do not cost two days. They tear a hole in a plan counted backwards from the test date — and that date cannot be moved on request.

Tell us early and something can usually be saved: a double lesson on another morning, a night drive a few days later. Cancelled at short notice, it gets difficult.
