You do not pay everything at once. The basic fee comes at registration and the driving lessons run alongside. If you need it split differently, talk to us.

Not included in these prices

The TÜV test fees, the licensing authority's fees, the eyesight test, the first-aid course and the photograph. Those bodies bill you directly and set their own fees — which is why we do not print a figure for them.

Common questions about price

How many driving lessons will I really need?

Nobody can honestly say in advance. The twelve special lessons are required by law and are fixed. How many practice lessons come on top is down to you — we will tell you honestly when you are ready.

When do I pay what?

The basic fee is due when you register. Driving lessons you pay for as you go, and the presentation fees only when we enter you for a test. It never all arrives at once.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. If you need a different split from the usual one, talk to us — we arrange it personally rather than through a bank.

If I change driving school, do I pay for everything again?

No. The lessons you have already had are recognised. You pay the change fee instead of a full new registration — and all you need to bring is your ID card.

What happens if I fail a test?

The presentation fee for the second attempt is payable again, as is the TÜV fee. We only enter you when we think you are ready, which is the best protection against that.
