How the change works

    Get in touch

    Call or fill in the form. We go through your situation and tell you what we need from your old school.

  2. 02No paperwork

    We cancel for you

    The cancellation and the training record are ours to handle. There is nothing for you to chase.

  3. 03In person

    First meeting & assessment

    We look at where you have got to, plan the remaining lessons and re-register you with the Straßenverkehrsamt.

  4. 04Seamless

    Carry on driving

    You pick up where you left off: the theory topics still missing, the driving lessons left, and preparing for the tests.

  • Bring: your ID card — nothing else
  • A theory test you have already passed stays valid
  • You can change in any class, even mid-training
  • Theory Mon, Wed, Thu 18:30–20:00 · Sat 9:30–11:00 and 11:00–12:30

Common questions about changing

Do my previous driving lessons count?

Yes. Every theory topic and driving lesson you completed at your old school is recognised. You do not start again.

Does the old school have to hand over my records?

Yes. It is legally obliged to give you your training record and may not attach any conditions to it. If there is trouble, we help.

Do I have to sit the theory test again?

No. A theory test you have passed stays valid. If you have not sat it yet, you catch up the missing topics with us and we book you in.

How long does changing take?

The paperwork takes us a few days, and the re-registration at the Straßenverkehrsamt about 2 days. After that you carry straight on.

What if I have already failed a test?

Then we look at where it went wrong, practise that specifically and book you in for the retake. No judgement, just a plan.
