Changing driving school: what happens to your lessons

You do not start again. What is recognised, what you need to bring, and how long it takes.

The worry about changing is always the same one: “will I have to do it all again?” No. What you have done so far is documented, and it still counts.

What is recognised

Everything your old school properly documents: theory classes attended, driving lessons taken, special lessons already driven and a theory test already passed. Your pending application at the licensing authority stays valid too — that one belongs to you, not to the driving school.

What you need to bring

  • Your ID card.
  • If you have them: the training records from your previous school.
  • If you do not have them: nothing. We request them.

The paperwork with the old school is ours. You do not have to ring them or argue with them — a written cancellation is enough, and we write it with you.

The honest part

Changing costs a change fee rather than a full new registration. What your old school has already billed you for is not something we can refund — that is between you and them. What our fee is, is on the prices page.

First consultation

We look at where you have got to and drive one assessment lesson first. After that you know realistically how many lessons are still ahead of you — before you change, not after.

People changing schools are not an exception here, they are an ordinary week. Nobody asks you why you left.
